Caroline & Allan- Bannatyne Hotel & Spa Hastings, East Sussex

Who doesn’t love a wedding and who doesn’t love an afternoon tea? Well Caroline and Allan love both so they put them together to make the most special day for themselves.

They had an intimate ceremony with close family and friends at the beautiful Bannatyne Hotel and Spa Hastings and ended it with an afternoon tea in a simply glorious room.

Caroline oozed wedding chic and stunned everyone as she swanned around in a dress fit for a queen. Allan scrubbed up well as well of course! I was only with these two for a short period of time but they are just such a sweet couple and I feel honoured that I got to meet your family and spend your wedding day with you!

Harriet & Jonnie- Perch Hill, Sarah Raven's Cutting Garden, East Sussex

This one will always make me well up! I’ve never cried as I left a wedding but this group hug had me shedding a few tears.

Bit of a back story for you....Jonnie and his family are from the same village as myself so I have known the family for years and years. Harriet also went to the same secondary school as me so we were always going to have a strong connection. As soon as the day was booked I knew we were going to have the best day.

There’s so much I could say about this wedding but I will keep it brief because the photos speak for themselves. The 2 venues were both equally as unique and different as each other. The Chantry was enchanting and Sarah Raven’s cutting garden where the reception was help was to die for. Everywhere you looked was a picturesque view.

I was lucky enough to be working along side my best friend Billie who was the makeup artist for the day. She did not disappoint...every single bridesmaids looked like they had dropped from heaven. The groomsmen scrubbed up alright as well!

The day was so relaxed and simply perfect and the band got the party started which I have heard went on into the very early hours.

After having a catch-up with this lovely couple I can see they had simply the best day and nothing will ever beat it for them. Thank you so much for having me as part of your day and let’s meet up for that drink very soon!

Sally & Adam- Islington Metal Works

Where do I start? Well let’s start with the fact I have know Adam for we think 8 years now....mad totally mad so as soon as I got the message asking for me to be his wedding photographer I was so excited. When I had the honour of meeting his wife to be Sally I knew straight away that it was going to be such a fun and unique day.

I started my day meeting Sally at Le Fix, natural and organic beauty bar, which I fell totally in love with. We then travelled by bus back to their hotel where Sally put on simply the most beautiful dress which took my breath away.

We made our merry way to Marylebone Town Hall via cab, obviously we kept it classy and used a black cab. The ceremony was beautiful and the first confetti cannon was used....simply amazing! We then made our way on an old London bus to the amazing reception that was held and the Islington Metal Works.

What a venue. So colourful and fun and there was an amazing team of staff who couldn’t have been more relaxed. I was so happy to have my own place setting so I got to know some of the lovely guests as well.

The party consisted of more confetti cannons, beer pong, Colin and Connie the caterpillars cakes and the best music ever. This is a London wedding that I will never forget and it couldn’t have been more fun, I was gutted to leave! Thank you both for having me, you’re just wonderful.

Sarah & Stuart- The Plough at Leigh, Kent

Well all I can start with is Sarah looked phenomenal. I have had so many people ask me who this beautiful human is! The day started at a lovely very aesthetically pleasing Air B&B in Tunbridge Wells where we for some of the most beautiful bridal prep photos I have ever taken. The girls were all equally as beautiful and funny. A few tears were shed, yes I’m naming you Alma-Gee but it was such a beautiful start to the day.

As I arrived at The Plough, Leigh, I was met by a rather nervous groom but he soon go into the swing of things! With the ceremony over and the party in full swing, I watched at a group of full grown men played for hours on the cocoanut shy. This is was an amazing extra to the day and something I would 100% recommend for your wedding day.

The speeches and meal were also simply lovely and surround by friends and family, Sarah and Stuart danced the night away. You are both such relaxed and kind people and it was a honour to photograph your day.

Amy & Ian- One Warwick Park & Bewl Water, Kent

So the first thing I am going to say about this wedding is you can never trust the British summer. Mid August the South East was presented with an awful storm all weekend resulting in torrential rain and gale force winds. But this crazy and unseasonal weather did not stop Amy and Ian having the most perfect day.

I just want to say how much I appreciate these 2 peoples sense of adventure and thank you for trusting me enough to put you on a floating pontoon in a reservoir. You smashed it!

From personalised converse, personalised ceremony to personalised ice cream tubs, this wedding wasn’t short of the little details. This was hands down the most funny wedding ceremony I’ve attended so well done best man Chris!

Bewl Water is such a beautiful venue and they managed to put their style into the venue and make it their own. I was also treated to some very funny sparkler photos! I had a wonderful day getting to know your friends and family and I can’t thank you enough for having me there on your special day!

Sian & Connor- The Plough at Leigh, Kent

Now do you want to see two people who love each other to the moon and back? Well, keep on scrolling…

I met Connor, the groom, when I was about 16/17 years old. So we are talking a decade ago give or take a few months. We used to work together and we spent many summer holidays working at a kids farm! When Connor messaged me and asked me to be their wedding photographer I was beyond delighted and how could I say no! I felt so honoured to be part of their wedding day, it was amazing to see someone I know well getting married to the woman of his dreams.

People travelled far and wide for their wedding and they made their day so special with plenty of homemade details which made the venue even more beautiful than it already is. The venue itself is nestled in the Kentish countryside and it’s traditional pub is what gives it its charm. There were plenty of laughs and a few dodgy dance moves but most of all it was just one massive knees up. Gosh it was a lovely day.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day and for having me on your amazing journey!

Emily & Adam- The Grange Country House, Middlesex

This December wedding did not fail to impress. It was the right mix of glamour and fun with a hint of Christmas time sparkle. I met Emily whilst studying photography at uni and we were friends of friends so I was super chuffed when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. Prior to their wedding I also took photos of their son when he was a newborn so it just felt right to carry on the celebrations as a team.

They made their day so relaxed and full of love and laughter. The venue was truly beautiful and the various rooms meant that even thought it was raining we were able to get loads of different couple shots. It for sure did not put a dampener on their day. I’ve never met a couple who have had this much in common, they literally finished off each other sentences. It was a pleasure to be capturing their special day and to catch a glimpse of their feelings for each other. There is a whole lot of love between these two.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day and for having me on your amazing journey!

3 Most Favourite Wedding Photos

Hiya!

Today I want to share with you my 3 most favourite wedding photos I have taken to date. I love each image for totally different reasons and I want to share them with you as they all have a special place in my heart.

Photo No.1

This image melts my heart every time I see it. Yes it might not be the most 'traditional' wedding photo and yes I am aware the groom is in jeans BUT this photo is bursting with the most amount of love I have ever experienced. People don't usually get why I love this photo as much as I do but it is all down to the couples story. Long story short....these 2 beautiful people live in Manhattan and one afternoon they got married in City Hall. They then had to have another 'wedding' as the family were all so jealous they couldn't be there! Understandably! The setting was beautiful, Chaple Down Vineyards in Kent and the couple were even more beautiful. Inside as well as out! The photo itself speaks volumes about how happy and content they are as a couple and this is a prime example of if you know the story behind the photo makes it more fabulous and heart warming! You guys are awesome!

Now this photo is all about the use of colour! I have an unhealthy obsession with bright colours within my images and this bride is giving me enough colour to last a lifetime! I love the neutral tones of the surrounding guests and church wall and it contrasts so well against the brides beautiful bouquet and headband which are exceptional. The pure excitement of the bride also makes my heart melt and this image is what I would describe as pure happiness. I feel as if I have captured such a happy moment in time and the colours pop and make it eye catching.

Right lets go a little bit more traditional here for the finale.....usually I am not a massive fan of black and white photos but this shot lends itself perfectly to it. This image is classical and timeless and I have frozen the relaxed atmosphere within this image. This wedding itself was the most chilled out and calm I've ever done and this image also captures a moment that not even the bride is aware of. It's tranquil and shows bridal prep at its finest which is a very important part of the day that not all brides think about. It's a time to be with your girls and this NEEDS to be documented.

Meet and Greet - Wedding Fairs

Meeting your wedding photographer before booking them is the most important thing you can do! You are going to be with this person for 10 hours of your special day so they need to be the right fit for you. Not only do you have to love their work, you also have to love how they work! I love meeting potential clients and getting to know about them and their story, its a good excuse for a natter and a cup of tea as well!

The best way to do this is going along to a wedding fair which your potential photographer is at and having a look at their stall and how they engage with people. It's also a super fun few hours where you can wandering round and get inspiration for your special day (and also some snacks which people tend to hand out)!

I do between 3-4 wedding fairs a year and here are the up and coming ones with I shall be attending if you would like to come along and meet me:
